Preparing to Dream
JBL Associates, Inc. is under contract with the National College Access Network (NCAN) to collect student-level data from five Houston-area public school districts as part of their Preparing to Dream (P2D) project. Funded by the Houston Endowment, Preparing to Dream is a four-year initiative focused on using data to make informed decisions about programs and policies that affect student access and success. The goal of the project is to improve college preparedness among Houston-area high school students, particularly among low-income and first-generation college-goers.
For this project, JBLA developed and implemented data collection procedures, collected and analyzed student-level data, created longitudinal databases for each of the participating districts, developed tables, and reported on our findings to NCAN, their partner organization Houston A+ Challenge, and the participating districts.
